Chatel is located in the Portes du Soleil. This huge international ski region offers over 650km of piste, linking the resorts of Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets and Chatel in France, with the Swiss resorts of Morgins, Champoussin, Les Crosets and Champery. Whatever your skiing standard, you are well catered for. Excellent, easily accessible nursery slopes, mile upon mile of easy blues and reds for the intermediates, and some of the most challenging black runs in the Alps including the notorious Chavanette (The Wall) for the more advanced.

The Portes du Soleil has a fantastic snow record. Its location in the Northern French Alps and its proximity to Lac Leman and Mont Blanc mean that the area receives on average more snow then anywhere else in the Alps
